Page TWO, Column 6MRS. S. CHARLTON DIED YESTERDAY
Funeral Services Will be Held From The Home Tomorrow; Burial Richwood
Mrs. Scott CHARLTON died yesterday afternoon at 3:10 oclock at her home, 6 miles northeast of the city. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 oclock from the home in charge of Rev. George W. Pool. Interment will be made in the Richwood cemetery.
Mrs. CHARLTON was born July 1, 1868 within a mile of where she is now living. She had been in poor health for the past 3 months but her condition was not considered serious until yesterday. She is survived by her husband and three children, Mrs. Roy WORLEY who lives 3 miles northeast of the city and Mildred and Ralph at hime (sic - home).
Also the following brothers and sisters: J.K. BATES, Mrs. A.M. ANDERSON and Will WORKMAN of Tekamah, Nebraska, George WORKMAN and Mrs. J.A. WHEELER of Kansas City and two grand children.

Funeral services for Mrs. Scott CHARLTON, who died Wednesday afternoon at her home, 6 miles northwest (sic - northeast) of the city were held this afternoon from the home in charge of Rev. George W. Pool. Mrs. Frank Pierson and Miss Cora Ball sang, “One Sweetly Solemn Thought,” “Home of the Soul," “Safe in the Arms of Jesus.”
The pall bearers were Fred Flinspach, Charles Green, Frank Masden, Will Allender, Ed Hendricks and George Neal. Interment was made in the Richwood cemetery.

Lena L. WORKMAN was born July 1, 1868, and departed this life Feb. 11, 1925.
She was the daughter of William and Dora WORKMAN, both of whom passed away some years since.
She was married at Tekoma (sic - Tekamah), Nebraska to Scott CHARLETON (sic - CHARLTON) Oct. 20, 1887.
She was the mother of five children, Erma (sic - Irma) and Roy dying in infancy, and Mrs. R.E. WORLEY of Fairfield and Mildred and Ralph who are still at home.
Besides these, she leaves to mourn her loss her husband, two brothers and three sisters. Mrs. J.K. BATES, Mrs. A.M. ANDERSON and W.B. WORKMAN, all of Tekoma (sic - Tekamah), Neb., and George WORKMAN and Mrs. A.J. WHEELER of Kansas City. There are also two grandchildren.
Mrs. CHARLETON (sic - CHARLTON) was a devoted wife and mother, always ministering with loving hands to the loved ones in the home and as a friend and neighbor was always ready to lend a helping hand and do a kind act for those who were in need. She will be missed by all who knew her.

There are two cemeteries with a similar name in the Richwoods area: Upper Richwood and Lower Richwoods. Lena, husband Scott who died in 1929, and their two infants (Irma and Roy) are in Upper Richwood Cemetery.
