Carl RIZOR dies at 78

Carl E. RIZOR, 78, 803 W. Kirkwood, died Monday at the Jefferson County Hospitial where he had been a patient since Jan. 12.

Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn Bergfalk officiating. Burial will be in Lockridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

A lifetime resident of Jefferson County, RIZOR was born Nov. 20, 1900 near Lockridge, the son of George and Cora Bell MURPHY RIZOR. He had made his home in Fairfield since his marriage to Faye MYERS March 15, 1934.

RIZOR was employed by the county road maintenance department, Pence Machine Shop, Streator Products and Harper Brush Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

RIZOR is survived by one sister, Bessie DOUBLE, Chicago; and one brother, Bernard RIZOR, Lincoln, Neb. His wife preceded him in death in December, 1978. Also deceased are two brothers and two sisters.
