Kenneth D. LAWSON, 70, of 7209 Kingswood Circle, Indianapolis, 46256, former area resident, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 1995, at his home.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Castleton United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, with burial in Washington Park North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Flanner and Buchanan Lawrence Mortuary in Indianapolis. Memorials have been established to Castleton United Methodist Church, 7101 N. Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, Ind., 46250, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Sort 8400 - Memorial Gifts, 1775 York Ave., New York, N. Y. 10131-0112.
LAWSON was born June 15, 1925, in Libertyville. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1943 and from Iowa State University in Ames in 1949 with a bachelor of arts degree in mechanical engineering. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He was with RCA for 37 years, retiring as vice president of Facilities and Real Estate in 1987. From 1987 to 1991, he had his own consulting service, KDL Consulting Inc. He was a member of Castleton United Methodist Church, American Legion Kennington Post 34, Pi Tau Sigma fraternity, and held a professional engineer license. He married Elizabeth "Betty" GAUMER, also a 1943 FHS graduate, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Rebecca HANNOWSKY, Gwen LAWSON, Christine MAYHEW, Tassy DAVIS; a son, Lawrence; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Donald W.
(Parents are Lawrence Henry LAWSON and Edythe Mary LOONEY. I have researched the LAWSON lineage for over 40 years.)
