O. DeLASHMUTT Taken In Death

Orvis DeLASHMUTT, 65, a Jefferson County farmer for 42 years, died Wednesday at 11:20 p.m. at his home northwest of Lockridge.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Wilson Hyde. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

DeLASHMUTT had been in failing health for seven months. He was born March 13, 1904 at Salem, the son of Chicago L. and Susannah HOGGATT DeLASHMUTT. A graduate of Salem High School, he attended Iowa State University and Fort Madison Business College.

He was married Oct. 30 (sic - 10), 1939 to Margaret CHARLTON, who survives. Also surviving are one brother, Robert, Deming, N.M., and one sister, Mrs. Sarah RIGGS, Chicago.

DeLASHMUTT was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Keith DeLASHMUTT of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Keith WEHNER of Kings, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Jennings F. MYERS and Mrs. Harold SMALL all of Wapello, Mrs. Leonard BOEDING of West Point.

Mrs. Harold HOSKINS, Tobi and Tom of Tama, Mr. and Mrs. Kinney GREEN, Mrs. Marshall GREEN and Margaret GREEN all of Mountain Lake, Minn., Mrs. Robert LAPSLEY of Kahoka, Mo., and Mr. and Mrs. William CAMPBELL of Oskaloosa.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Orvis H. DeLASHMUTT, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate of Orvis H. DeLASHMUTT Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 4th day of August, 1969, the last will and testament of Orvis H. DeLASHMUTT deceased bearing date of the 31st day of March, 1956, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Margaret C. DeLASHMUTT was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said will must be brought in the district court of said county within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
