John L. CHAMP Dies Suddenly

John L. CHAMP, 69, longtime resident of Fairfield, died suddenly Thursday at his home, 402 W. Briggs. He was found by his daughter, Lynn, Thursday evening.

Last rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

John L. CHAMP was born Dec. 23, 1903, in Bloomfield, the son of Marion and Zenobia CARNAL CHAMP. He was married to Maryetta CARLOW, Jan. 18, 1943, who died June 8, 1962.

He had worked at the Philco Plant and Dexter for 28 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Lynn, Fairfield; and two brothers, Oren, Washington State and Clarence, Fairfield. He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
