Martha L. BLAIR

Martha L. BLAIR, 96, of Bloomfield, formerly of Cantril, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Bloomfield Care Center.

A funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. Kevin Mote officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.

Visitation opens at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with family present from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.

Memorials to Milton Christian Church, Maple Grove Cemetery or Bloomfield Care Center may be left at the funeral home or mailed to family at 610 Walnut St., Burlington 52601.

Mrs. BLAIR was born Aug. 7, 1916, south of Bloomfield, the daughter of Will and Stella PEDEN BEGGS. She married Everett J. BLAIR Aug. 6, 1939, in Bloomfield. He died Feb. 8, 1988.

She graduated Bloomfield High School.

She and her husband farmed near Fairfield and for many years south of Cantril until retiring to town. They spent several winters in Arizona.

She was a member of Milton Christian Church and the Happy Hour Club in rural Cantril.

Survivors include one son, James BLAIR and his wife, Alta of Burlington.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ralph BEGGS and Russell FIEDLER; and two sisters, Bernice GRIM and Helen AESCHLIMAN.
