Rites pending for Mary PECK

Mary OLIVER PECK, 78, died this morning at her home at 304 N. Third.

Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home.

Mrs. PECK was born May 27, 1905 in Fairfield, the daughter of Henry and Agnes KURTZ OLIVER. She was reared and educated in Fairfield, attended local schools, St. Joseph Academy in Ottumwa and Parsons College. On Feb. 5, 1927, she married Ambrose A. PECK, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Harry of Valley Station, Ky.; two daughters, Cathleen PECK, Tustin, Calif., Colleen GIPE, Malvern; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Harry HESTON of Fairfield. A daughter, a son, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Mrs. PECK taught school at Selma, Pleasant Plain and Stockport before retiring in 1970. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, DAR, Hospital Auxiliary, Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and Retired Teachers Association.
