Opal MODEER

Opal M. MODEER, 90, former longtime resident of the Abingdon Community, died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday at the Parkview Care Center where she had been a patient for the past two years.

Graveside services will be conducted at the Ottumwa Cemetery in Ottumwa (sic - Wapello County, IA) at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Fred W. Cowles officiating. The services are in charge of the Raymond Funeral Home where friends may call at their convenience.

Memorials may be made to the Parkview Care Center Activity Fund.

Opal M. MODEER was born June 21, 1893, in Howard, Kansas. She was the daughter of W.S. and Eva M. WHITNEY HAND. She was married to Daniel J. MODEER. They lived in the Abingdon Community until his death July 13, 1950 after which she moved to Fairfield. She has no immediate relatives.
