Kenneth Raymond BELL, 82, 2329 Glasgow Road, died at 10:02 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 1998, at Jefferson County Hospital.
Funeral service was at 1:30 p.m. today at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Keevin Koch officiating. Cremation will follow. Burial will be in Ackley Cemetery in Ackley at a later date. Open visitation was held noon until 6 p.m. Sunday. Family visitation was 11 a.m. to noon today. Memorials may be made to the children's section of Fairfield Public Library.
Mr. BELLwas born July 22, 1915, in Cedar Township of Jefferson County, the son of Roy and Ella NICHOLS BELL. He married Iola HAGEN in the 1930s and she is living. After a divorce, he married Wilma WRIGHT. She died.
Mr. BELL was a construction worker and worked in the pattern shop of Angeles Can Manuafacturing Co. in Compton, Calif. He was veteran of U.S. Army in World War II. He was a member of Eagles Lodge (sic - Aerie/Club) in Fairfield and the VFW Lodge in Bullhead, Ariz.
Survivors include: one son, Gary BELL of Lakeside, Ore.; one daughter, Diane BARNESON of Waterloo; one stepdaughter, Judi of Michigan; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Troy of Puget Sound, Wash., Bob of Odessa, Texas, and Frank of Fairfield; and three sisters, Betty COTTRELL of St. Louis, Minnie THATCH of California and Marjorie WILBUR of Fort Smith, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
