Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

William J. SALTER, 73, of Keosauqua, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at home.
A celebration of life and burial of cremains will be in Leando Cemetery in Douds at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Van Buren Community High School Band or Tarnished Brass Band and may be mailed to the family at 500 Henry St., Keosauqua 52565.
Arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
Mr. SALTER was born Aug. 5, 1939 in Douds, the son of Joe and Frances RUSSELL SALTER. He married Karen K. COX Feb. 22, 1948 in Keosauqua.
Mr. SALTER grew up in Douds and Keosauqua and graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1957.
He worked in construction in Des Moines, retiring as superintendent of Neumann Bros. Construction Co.
The SALTERs moved back to Keosauqua where they owned and operated Mansion Inn tourist home.
They both played in Van Buren County Tarnished Brass Band.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Lucinda McLERAN and spouse Mark, Brenda STIFEL, Lynette SALTER and spouse Torrey COSGROVE, and Kimberly BASHARA and spouse Thomas all of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lisa WINGERT SALTER; and one granddaughter.
