Monday, June 18, 1979H.W. DAVIS dies at 58
PACKWOOD - Homer Warren DAVIS, 68, longtime resident of the Packwood community, died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday at the Jefferson County Hospital.
Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Packwood Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Harbour officiating. Interment will be in the Packwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Homer Warren DAVIS was born March 26, 1911 in Camden County, Mo. He was the son of James R. and Ada POPE DAVIS. He spent most of his life in the Packwood community.
His marriage to Edith BLACK took place June 24, 1933, in Des Moines. He had been a farmer until his retirement in 1972, and he had been employed at the Walton Club for the past three years.
He was a member of the Packwood Lions Club, VFW, and Elks Lodge.
DAVIS is survived by his widow; one son, James DAVIS, Washington; a daughter, Jane Ann McCORMICK, Packwood; six grandchildren; and a sister, Mabel GARBER, Phoenix, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by one grandson.
