Graveside Rites For H.E. EDWARDS

Homer E. EDWARDS, 68, of Des Moines passed away at the Iowa Methodist Hospital at 12:20 p.m. Sunday following surgery. The body is at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton in charge of Rev. Ned Gillum.

He was born Sept. 3, 1899 in Brighton, the son of Noah and Almeda MASON EDWARDS and received his education in the Brighton schools. He was a construction worker by trade and cement finisher.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Lyle, Robert and Darlene, and two sisters, Mrs. Arlow SMITH of Fairfield and Mrs. Alden BALLARD of Denver and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
