Rites Tuesday For Mrs. BAKER

Mrs. Carrie BAKER, 91, native of Jefferson County and a longtime resident of Fairfield, died at 5:20 p.m. Saturday at the Nelson Nursing Home where she had been a patient for the past six years.

She became seriously ill two days before her passing.

Last rites will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wilson Hyde and the Rev. C. E. Stanley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemtery.

Carrie Belle BAKER was born March 16, 1877, in Libertyville, the daughter of John F. and Eliza Ann McCREERY LOEHR. She was reared and educated in Libertyville.

She was married to William Ray BAKER on May 5, 1897, in Fairfield. Her husband died July 22, 1936.

Mrs. BAKER was one of the oldest members of the Methodist church, having joined the church in 1894. She was also a member of the WSCS, she was a lifetime member of the Pythian Sisters; and a member of the Daughters of Union Veterans of which she served as state president in 1937-1938.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons: Mrs. Harold ZEIGLER, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. James E. DAGGETT, Deltona, Fla.; William R. BAKER and George M. BAKER, both of Fairfield.

Mrs. ZEIGLER arrived in Fairfield Saturday night shortly after her mother's death. Mrs. DAGGETT will be unable to make the trip to Fairfield because of ill health.

Other survivors include four grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Hugh HUSTON, Enid, Okla., and Mrs. Fred NEIBERT, Fairfield; and a brother, Ray H. LOEHR, Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, four brothers and one sister.
