Norma Lee ROBINSON

Norma Lee ROBINSON, age 73 passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 at Jefferson County Health Center. Family requests that memorials be made to the First Lutheran Church or Camp Courageous. Cards and memorials can be sent to 1201 S. 5th St. Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield with Pastor Stacy Grau officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Norma was born January 31, 1939 in Fairfield, to Mervin Joseph and Mazie Irene MESSER HOLLANDER. She married Richard Grove ROBINSON Sr. on September 26, 1958 at the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield and he passed away on September 23, 2000.

She had worked as a Legal Secretary at Simpson Law Office, Pieper Law Office and Parkin & Cameron Law Office, a Secretary at Iowa State Bank, Abstractor at Jefferson County Abstract Co., and was an organist at First Lutheran Church for 57 years.

She was past state and local T.T.T. President of Iowa.

She was treasurer for the Jefferson County Senior Site on Aging.

She also was treasurer of W.E.L.C.A. women's group of the First Lutheran Church and of Fairfield Kiwanis Club.

Norma is survived by 3 children: Laura (Kevin) CURRAN and Richard G. Jr. (Rhonda) ROBINSON, both of Fairfield and Beth (Leon) SCHOENROCK of New Richland, Minnesota, 8 grandchildren: Ryan (Jen) CURRAN, Ian (Amy) CURRAN, Brady CURRAN, Grant CURRAN, Rachel ROBINSON, Ross ROBINSON, Betsy SCHOENROCK and Benjamin SCHOENROCK and 1 sister: Linda (Mark) PETERSON of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 brother: Roger HOLLANDER and 1 brother-in-law: Richard LYONS.
