Judith Ann 'Judy' BAILEY

Judith Ann "Judy" BAILEY, 73, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

A funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield with the Rev. Joe Phipps officiating.

Visitation is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. The family also will receive friends at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Friday at the church.

Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Memorials in Mrs. BAILEY's name may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Fairfield Public Library.

Mrs. BAILEY was born March 25, 1939, in Fairfield, the daughter of Roy E. and Laura Justine SHEFFER SCHOCK. She married Harold E. BAILEY on June 25, 1961, at First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield.

Mrs. BAILEY lived in Fairfield for her entire life. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1957. She received her bachelor's degree from Parsons College and attended the University of Iowa.

She taught eighth grade in the Fairfield school system before her retirement in 2012.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

She also was a member of P.E.O. and her bridge club.

Her two cats, Kashmir and Jammu were a big part of her life.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Lori RAW and spouse Robert of Coralville; and one brother, Roger and wife Ursula SCHOCK of Eldridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter Kristen.
