The Fairfield Ledger, Apr. 27, 1881, p. 3, col.6. The Ottumwa Courier says, in speaking of the death of Mrs. Sarah F. Hill: "Mrs. Hill was a daughter of N. Baldwin, deceased, formerly of a citizen of Ottumwa. She was born in Washington county, PA, July 1, 1822. In Nov. 1844, she came to Fairfield IA on a visit to her brother, John T. Baldwin. In the spring of 1845 her father's family removed to Fairfield and she remained at that place until the summer of 1846, when she married Albert Mudge and soon after came to Ottumwa. By the death of Mr. Mudge in 1862 she was left a widow with two boys, Henry P. and W.C.. In 1868 she was united in marriage to Mr.Joseph Hill.
