Ella Louise GREINER

Ella Louise GREINER, 69, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012 at her residence following a battle with cancer.

A celebration of life service is at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. Interment will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa (sic - in Washington County, IA).

Visitation begins at noon Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m.

A memorial has been established.

Mrs. GREINER was born April 10, 1943 in Ottumwa, the daughter of Clyde Lonzo and Grace DENNISON SHONDEL. She married Jerry Lee GREINER June 16, 1961 in Fairfield. He died Feb. 8, 2003.

She attended school in Fairfield.

She worked at the McCleery Cumming Calendar Factory for 30 years until her retirement.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Washington, Iowa.

She enjoyed going to garage sales, camping, crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren, and the daily coffee time spent visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include one son, Phil GREINER and wife Shelley of Washington, Iowa; one daughter, Jeri Lynn BUCK and husband Mark of Washington; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter; seven brothers and sisters including, Larry SHONDEL , Albert SHONDEL and his late wife Lila, Mike SHONDEL and wife Cindy, Doug SHONDEL, Charlotte DONAHUE, Tina SCOTT and husband Roger, all of Fairfield, Sherri ADKINS of Ottumwa and Anna WAGNER of Coralville.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and sisters, Bobby SHONDEL, Mabel SHONDEL, Herb SHONDEL, Fred SHONDEL, Clyde SHONDEL Jr. and Debbie HEDQUIST.
