The Lockridge Herald, Jan. 10, 1913, page 1, col, 2. MRS. SHELLEY BURIED AT GLASGOW. The funeral of Mrs. Phoebe D. Shelley who died at her home in Kansas City, was held Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the home of her niece, Mrs. Peter Fisher, on West Washington Street. The remains taken to Mt. Zion Cemetery near Glasgow for interment. Phoebe Phillips Shelley was born in Greene County, Ohio July 7, 1834 and came to Jefferson County with her parents in 1849. In 1851 she was married to G.W. Shelley and in 1879 they moved to Kansas City. Mr. Shelley died about 30 years ago. Three children were born to them, a daughter dying in infancy. Two sons, E.B. and W.H. Shelley of Kansas City survive. Methodist Church.
