Sulifund Sutherland died at Eddyville, IA. Inscription on tombstone near northwest corner of the old part of Highland Cemetery at Eddyville: "SULIFUND S. ROSS born Feb. 5, 1800, departed this life Sep. 26, 1856." He was born in Lexington KY, son of William and Nancy (Chinn) Ross.. from "The Pioneer Ross Family in Burlington and Southern Iowa" by William Junken Ross.
