Bertha C. McINTOSH

Bertha C. McINTOSH, 84, of Keosauqua, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

A funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Center Chapel United Methodist Church southeast of Keosauqua with the Rev. Douglas Harding officiating. Burial will be in Wolfe Cemetery. (sic - Wolf, a/k/a Harden or Lorton Cemetery, in Van Buren County, IA.)

Visitation is at 2 p.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with family present from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Center Chapel Church. Cards and memorials may be left at the funeral home or church or mailed to the family at 26291 Peach Ave., Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. McINTOSH was born Nov. 14, 1927 the daughter of Clarence and Anna SUNDEN MARSH. She married John C. McINTOSH April 20, 1947 in Farmington. He died Nov. 16, 2006.

Mrs. McINTOSH graduated from Farmington High School and from Burlington Beauty School.

She and her husband farmed in rural Keosauqua and retired to town in 1986.

She was a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church and treasurer of United Methodist Women.

She was a member of Chapter I of the Philanthropic Educational Organization in Keosauqua.

Survivors include one son, Curtis Lee McINTOSH of Keosauqua; two daughters, Marsha CLARK and spouse Don of Lake Barrington, Ill., and Judith HARSHMAN and husband Jerry of Ottumwa; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandson; and one sister in law.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, William MARSH and Frances MARSH; one sister, Rudy RIDER; and one son in law.
