“Robert T. White who lived two miles west of Veo, died Dec 6 1907. Born in Perry Co., Pa. 25 Aug 1837; married Elizabeth J. Stutzman at Newport, Pa., 23 Aug 1865. Six children: Ella Van Nice, New York City; Maggie Ulm, Fairfield, Iowa; James M. White of Keota; John H. White who died when four years old; L. H. White, Harper, Iowa; and Beulah White still at home. Wife survives. He also leaves three brothers: John S. White, Huntington; Jas. White, Millerstown; Thos. White, Elizabethtown, and three sisters, Susan Novinger, and Sarah E. Liby, Middletown, all of Penn., and Mary Roney of Swaledale, Iowa. In 1873 moved to Washington Co., Iowa, and a year later to their present home. Long a trustee of McDowell Church. Funeral there Monday; burial in the cemetery nearby.”
