“Mrs. Roy Waggoner, 75, died Sun. PM at her farm home four miles northeast of Fairfield. Behner Funeral Home. Bur. Clay Cemetery west of Brighton. Ethel Blanche Waggoner was born Apr 22 1891 at Washington, Iowa, daughter of Tom and Jennie McElree Watters; married June 2 1912 at Washington, and lived in the Fairfield community for over 40 years. Previously they lived near Brighton and Washington. She was a member of the Washington Methodist church. Survived by husband, 3 daughters, Mrs Roy Nelson, Mrs. Kenneth Miller of Fairfield, and Mrs. Dorothy Hammans of Newton; two sons, Kenneth of Cedar Rapids, and Gerald at home; 16 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren. She was the last of a family of 12 brothers and sisters. She was also preceded in death by three daughters.”
