"Elmer Dale Schafer, 69, died Fri. at his home here…..Burial will be at McDowell Cemetery northeast of Fairfield. Wellborn Funeral Home in Milton. Born June 6 1900 at Richland, son of Charlie and Iva Dickinson Schafer. Married Florence Howard Jan. 28 1920. Surviving children are Charles, Cantril; Howard, Fairfield; Mrs. Estalene Runquist, Aurora, Ill.; Dean, Chicago; and Mrs. Jean Simmons, Hinckley, Ill."
