BRIGHTON - Mabel Addie JONES, 86, died this morning at Jefferson County Hospital Long Term Care, where she had lived for two years.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pleasant Plain Friends Church with the Rev. Rick Talbot officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. A memorial has been established to Mrs. Jones' church.
Mrs. JONES was born Nov. 18, 1900 at Grinnell, the daughter of Edward and Mary LINCOLN COUTTS. She attended schools in the Grinnell area, graduated from William Penn College at Oskaloosa, and taught school in the Richland and Pleasant Plain areas. She married Bruce JONES Dec. 25, 1928 at Grinnell. He died Oct. 11, 1960.
Mrs. JONES was a member of the Pleasant Plain Friends Church and a life member of United Society of Friends Women.
Surviving are two sons, David and Robert, and four grandchildren, all of the Pleasant Plain area; two sisters, Nellie LINCOLN and Hazel LINCOLN, both of Grinnell. Two brothers preceded her in death.
