Kathryn DAVES rites pending

Kathry Ann MAIRET DAVES, 49, of La Mesa, Calif., former Batavia resident, died suddenly Thursday afternoon at her home.

Mrs. DAVES was born Nov. 2, 1937 in Batavia, the daughter of Alfred and Elzabeth WALKER MAIRET. She graduated from Batavia High School, attended Parsons College and taught for two years at Eddyville before moving to Arizona, where she finished her college education. For the last 25 years she had lived in California, where she taught up until the time of her death. She was a member of the Presbyterian church at La Mesa.

Mrs. DAVES is survived by a daughter, Lisa DAVES, and a son, Paul, both at home; her parents of 3134 North 40th Ave., Phoenix, Ariz., 85019; two sisters, Barbara GORRIE and Sandra HARRINGTON, both of Phoenix; nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are pending at La Mesa.
