Ruth McCORMICK

Ruth McCORMICK, 78, of Libertyville, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at her home south of Libertyville.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Tom Felts officiating. Burial will be in the Packwood Cemtery in Packwood.

Family visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Jefferson County Heart Association or American Cancer Society.

Mrs. McCORMICK was born Aug. 29, 1924, in New Sharon, the daughter of Floyd and May RAMBO KIME. She married Bernard C. McCORMICK April 9, 1945, in Greensboro, N.C. He died Sept. 24, 1983.

She had lived in the Batavia and Libertyville communities since 1948. She graduated from Richland High School. She was a homemaker and member of Batavia United Methodist Church in Batavia.

Survivors include two daughters, Vera Mae HAMILTON of Janesville and Francine Kay WOOLLUMS of Ottumwa; one son, Gary McCORMICK of Fairfield; one granddaughter; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Larry and Terry McCORMICK; one grandson; and two brothers, Leo and Samuel KIME.
