Suzanne Ellen STONE, age 63, of Fairfield, Iowa passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012 in her home, surrounded by her family.
Suzanne was born to Lester and Yvette FOSTER on March 6, 1949 in Willimantic, Connecticut. She moved to Fairfield in 1987 to raise her three sons Benjamin, Jeffrey and Alexander. She was a homemaker and loving mother. She enjoyed music, theater, and the arts. She graduated from Windham High School in 1967 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Development from Wheelock College.
Suzanne will be greatly missed by her sons Benjamin and daughter-in-law, Christi, Jeffrey, and Alexander and by her brothers Mark FOSTER of FL, David (Marilyn) FOSTER of CT, and Michael FOSTER of FL. She is survived by her former husband and loving father of her boys, Carl STONE, of Fairfield, IA.
She is also survived by her step-sister, Holly BEST of ME, step-brother, Jeffrey (Carol) RHODES of ME, step-sister, Heather CARIJA of CT, nephew, Ivan CARIJA of CT, and niece, Rebecca (Justin) DONATO of MA and she will be missed by many cousins and their families and the countless people she touched during her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Yvette FOSTER and her step-mother, Phyllis FOSTER.
Celebration fo life services will be private.
Donations may be made in her name to the Lester and Phyllis Foster Oncology Suite and the Windham Hospital, 112 Mansfield Ave. Willimantic, CT 06226
