Wilma B. CREEK

Wilma B. CREEK, 91, Batavia, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 1998, at her home.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kremer Funeral Home in Batavia with the Rev. Richard Friend officiating. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery. Open visitation began today. Family will be present 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Batavia Public Library.

Mrs. CREEK was born Oct. 6, 1906, in Davis County, the daughter of Jerome and Dora McCLEARY FITE. She married Raymond CREEK Aug. 29, 1929, in Libertyville.

She was raised in Davis County and attended the Salt Creek county school. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Church of the Open Bible in Ottumwa, former member and secretary of the Bethlehem Christian Church near Floris and former member of Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Robert of Batavia; one daughter, Donna BOLING of Batavia; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell FITE of Batavia; and two sisters, Neva TEETER of Agency and Lorene GOODWIN of Ottumwa.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert FITE and an infant; three sisters, Lola HARRISON, Margaret ADAMS and Allene PAGETT; and one grandson.
