Victorine 'Vicky' May TOWNSEND

Victorine "Vicky" May TOWNSEND, 87, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Jefferson County Health Center.

A celebration of life will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Behner Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Noah's Ark Animal Shelter or may be sent to Deah Westercamp at 1116 Highway 2, Farmington 52626.

Mrs. TOWNSEND was born April 21, 1925, in Fairfield, the daughter of Earl and Alta BRYANT SALTS. She married John "Jack" GORMAN. They later divorced. She then married Elmer WHITLOCK. He died. She then married Keith TOWNSEND.

Mrs. TOWNSEND graduated from Fairfield High School in 1943.

She worked in retail at Martin's Drug Store, Martha Brown Limited, Econo Foods and Pamida. She also worked at the Jefferson County Health Center.

Survivors include three children, Deah WESTERCAMP and spouse LaVerne of Farmington, Richard GORMAN and wife Carol of Temple City, Calif., and Kim KURTZ SCHMIDT and husband Rick of Fairfield; one stepson, Michael WHITLOCK; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; her parents, and one great-granddaughter.

Note: First husband 'Jack' is buried in Evergreen with his second wife Florence, in Lot 4th.013. Second husband Elmer, with whom she is buried, died in 1985 and is in Lot 4th.272 at Evergreen. Third husband Keith died in 2001 and is buried in Evergreen in Lot 4th.252.
