Marjorie Estella DROZ

Marjorie Estella DROZ, 82, of 603 N. Fourth St., died at 4:15 a.m. today, Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at her home.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Betsy Lee officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Washington County Hospice.

Mrs. DROZ was born March 9, 1917, in Fairfield, the daughter of Lloyd C. and Mamie NOTT BOGARDUS. She married Clarence R. "Banty" DROZ June 5, 1937, in Mount Pleasant. He died May 22, 1999.

Mrs. DROZ graduated from Fairfield High School in 1935. She was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress at Fairfield Glove Factory. She was on many local bowling leagues. She sewed, repaired and dressed antique dolls.

She was a member of Rebekah Lodge of Fairfield, First Lutheran Church and church circles.

Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl HOUSEAL of Germanville; one son Steve DROZ of Parnell; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death in by her parents; and one sister, Dorothy THYS.
