Ralph E. GONTERMAN

Ralph E. GONTERMAN, 82, of Kilbourn, died at 3:44 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at the Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with Larry Shipley officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, Douds.

Visitation begins at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Keosauqua with family present 5-7 p.m.

Memorials to Keosauqua Veterans Club or Mount Moriah Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 21260 170th Street, Birmingham 52535.

Mr. GONTERMAN was born Nov. 5, 1929, near Libertyville, the son of Floyd and Rose CLARK GONTERMAN. He married Betty Ruth FERREL April 16, 1949, in Davenport.

He grew up in the Libertyville community, farmed and worked in production at American Chain & Cable in Fairfield and at Barker, LTD. in Keosauqua.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Ruth GONTERMAN; one son, Terry GONTERMAN of Kilbourn; one daughter Connie BLAISE and husband Gary of Kilbourn; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Floyd Francis GONTERMAN.
