Joyce Marietta MINEART, 66, of Kennewick, Wa., died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002 in Spokane, Wa.
The body has been cremated. A memorial Mass will held at 11 a.m. Jan. 30 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. Charles J. Fladung officiating. Her ashes will be buried in St. Joseph Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain.
A memorial has been established to the Sclerderma Research Foundation, 2320 Bath St., Suite No. 315, Santa Barbara, Calif., 93105.
Gould Funeral Home in Brighton is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. MINEART was born Oct. 31, 1935, in Richland, the daughter of Clarence and Violet COX FRITCHEN. She married Maynard MINEART in Richland, Dec. 26, 1953.
She grew up and attended school in Richland. After her marriage, she and her husband made their home in Brighton. They followed heavy construction to Arizona, California, Oregon and Washington, settling in the Pasco, Richland and Kennewick, Wa. area in 1968. In 1984, she opened, owned and operated The Enchanted Toy Shoppe in downtown Kennewick until the time of her death.
She was a member of the Mid-Columbia Archaeological Society, the Mid-Columbia Doll Club for 30 years, the Downtown Kennewick Association, and attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kennewick. Her pastimes included collecting dolls and antiques.
Survivors include her husband Maynard MINEART of Kennewick; two daughters Debi PETERSON of Kennewick, Tricia ALLEN of Sandy, Utah; and four grandchildren.
