Ona LEMLEY Dies At 82

Mrs. Ona LEMLEY, 82, died at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, at a nursing home in Primghar where she had been a resident for the past six months.

Before going to the nursing home she had resided at 201 E Grimes in Fairfield.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Ed Dorman officiating. Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery at Wellman with the Raymond Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. this evening, Monday.

Ona Lemley was born July 21, 1894, at Wellman, the daughter of George and Alice KELLEY BELL and was reared in the Wellman Community.

She was married March 15, 1914, to Omar C. LEMLEY at Kalona. They lived in Keokuk County until 1947 when they moved to Jefferson County. He died Feb. 17, 1956.

Mr. and Mrs. Lemley served as patron and matron of the Jefferson County Home and Mrs. Lemley later served as matron of a public lounge.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, VFW Auxiliary, Rebekah Lodge and Pythian Sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Delores PATTERSON, Cedar Falls; three sons, Morris, Drakesville; Floyd, Primghar; and Carold, Spirit Lake. Also 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granchild; and a sister, Mrs. Nora LEWIS.
