Mrs. DANIEL, 83, Taken In Death

Mrs. Nellie DANIEL, 83, resident of Fairfield since last fall, died suddenly Friday evening of a massive stroke.

She took suddenly ill at the home of her nephew and family, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth STORY, 906 S. Sixth, where she had made her home since last fall.

Mrs. Daniel suffered a broken knee last fall and was hospitalized for several weeks. After being released from the hospital at Fort Madison, she came to Fairfield to make her home.

Mrs. Daniel was in her usual health yesterday and had been up town with Mrs. Story earlier in the afternoon. She became suddenly ill shortly before 6 p.m. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was dead on arrival at the hospital.

Mrs. Nellie Daniel was born Aug. 3, 1882, in Clark County, Mo., the daughter of Frank and Lavina DOUGLAS STORY. She was married to Louis DANIEL who died Aug. 9, 1959. They lived most of their married life in Fort Madison.

The body was taken to the Clements Funeral Home in Fort Madison last night. Last rites will be in Fort Madison and burial in Revere, Mo.

Mrs. Daniel is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Al Henze, Springfield, ill.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
