Jeanette Alma DUCKWORTH

Jeanette Alma DUCKWORTH, 83, a resident of the Long-term Care Unit of Jefferson County Hospital died at 10:35 a.m. Sunday, March 5, 2000, at the hospital.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Kent officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will begin Tuesday morning and end at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Mrs. DUCKWORTH was born June 12, 1916, in Fairfield, the daughter of Charles Levi and Elizabeth HESTON ALLISON. She married Jim DUCKWORTH Feb. 6, 1965, in Memphis, Mo. He died July 20, 1997.

Mrs. DUCKWORTH lived in the Fairfield community her entire life. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1934. She was an office employee at Leazer TV for 15 years and at the Loudens Company for 10 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary. She did volunteer work at the Bargain Box.

Survivors include one sister, Ella Louise KAUSE of Fairfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two infant daughters; one brother, Richard ALLISON; and one sister, Maxine COLE.
