C. MICKELWAIT rites Tuesday

LIBERTYVILLE - Services for Cecil MICKELWAIT, 83, formerly of Eldon, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville with the Rev. Wayne Hess officiating assisted by the Rev. Robert Connor. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery south of Libertyville.

Mickelwait died April 27 at the Franciscan Hospital in Rock Island, Ill., where he had been a patient for two days.

Short services will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the Trimble Funeral Home in Moline. The Rev. Wayne Hess will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Faith United Methodists Church in Libertyville.

Mickelwait lived in Council Bluffs before moving to Rock Island. He had been employed by the Rock Island Railroad for 55 years.

Cecil MICKELWAIT was born Aug. 2, 1900, in the Hillsboro area, the son of Samuel H. and Nettie HOWE MICKELWAIT. He was married to Mabel GOEHRING June 6, 1927 at Council Bluffs. She died Aug. 25, 1978. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Moline.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruth, Galesburg, Ill; sisters-in-laws Edna MICKELWAIT, Topeka, Kansas; Lila PEEBLER, Batavia; Luella ALLMAN, Manor House, Sigourney; Minnie WINSELL, Douds; and brother-in-law, Clifford GOEHRING, Fairfield. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
