Monday, April 30, 1984Beula KIEWS dead at 84
PACKWOOD - Beula KIEWS, 84, died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at her home four miles west of Packwood.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Abingdon Chrisitan Church with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia. A memorial has been established to Abingdon Christian Church.
Mrs. Kiews was born Dec. 13, 1899 in Jefferson County, the daughter of John and Cora Mae BROWN HARRISON and had lived in Jefferson County most of her life. She married William KIEWS on Oct. 20, 1928. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris HICKS of Rose Hill; two sons, Edwin of rural Packwood, Marvin of rural Batavia; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step--granddaughter; two step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary HERMAN of Hedrick, Edna ALLISON of Libertyville; three brothers, Guy and Bob, both of Fairfield, and Ralph of Libertyville. A sister and three brothers preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kiews was a member of Abingdon Christian Church, the Dorcas Society and Zephyr Club.
