Edith PARSONS

Edith PARSONS, 77, of Birmingham died at 8:35 p.m. January 21, 1989, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

She was born Feb. 8, 1911, in Utica to James and Mary Grace KISLING PRATT. She grew up in Stockport, graduated from Stockport High School and lived most of her married life in Birmingham. She was a member Birmingham United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Lois Circle. She married Lester E. PARSONS on March 15, 1932, in Kahoka, Mo., he died March 25, 1984.

She is survived by a son, James of Birmingham; a daughter, Jeralee LARSON of York, Pa.; two grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth CLARK of Stockport, Mary STORY of Keosauqua and June BARNETT of Hillsboro; and a brother, Earl PRATT of Fairfield.

The service was held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1989 at Birmingham United Methodist Church, the Rev. Sara Malone officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

A memorial has been established to the Birmingham United Methodist Church.
