Ralph E. STOUT Jr., 71, 201 W. Hempstead, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb at Jefferson County Hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham. Friends may call at their convenience beginning Friday noon. Memorials have been established to First Christian Church and the Elks Lodge.
STOUT was born June 9, 1916 in Fairfield, the son of Ralph and May CARTER STOUT Sr. He married Mignon HARDESTY Aug. 24, 1940 in the Christian parsonage at Lancaster, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Marta GOEHRING of Marion, Paula TRAYLOR of Council Bluffs; a son, Steven of Fairfield and four grandchildren. An infant brother preceded him in death.
STOUT was a self-employed farm tiling contractor for more than 30 years before retiring. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Elks Lodge and the American Legion. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
