BRIGHTON - Donald "Buck" LYNN, 61, died Sunday at the University Hospitals in Iowa City.
He was born May 17, 1926, in Jefferson County, the son of John D. and Adelia FICHTNER LYNN. He married Jennie MESSER April 24, 1959, in Savanna, Ill.
Lynn farmed all of his life in the Brighton area. He also operated a bulldozer for 25 years and sold seed corn.
He was a member of the Brighton Community Chamber of Commerce and the Lutheran Church. Lynn also served in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife; one brother, Harold; two sisters, Opal LOEFFLER and Viola LYNN, all of Brighton.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Services for Lynn will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Brighton United Church with the Rev. Robert Bell officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.
