Rites For Mrs. PAVEY

Mrs. Robert (Velva) M. PAVEY, 64, 1207 S. Main, died at 12:55 a.m., Monday at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City where she was admitted on Saturday. She underwent surgery in Iowa City on March 8 but death was sudden and unexpected.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m., at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Melburn Sorensen officiating. Burial will be Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., at the North Lawn Cemetery at Fort Dodge. The body is at the Raymond Funeral Home.

She was born Junly 28, 1909 near Fort dodge (sic: Dodge), the daughter of Archie and Letitia RUSSELL HAY and was reared and educated in Fort Dodge. She had been employed by the telephone company and the radio broadcasting company in Fort Dodge. She was married to Robert PAVEY on June 24, 1945 in Fort Dodge.

They moved to Fairfield in 1952. Mrs. Pavey had been employed at the Fairfield Library for over 20 years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, she was the present treasurer of the Fairfield Business and Professional Women's Club, a past president of the Soroptimist Club, a member of Iota Sigma and the Southeast Pioneer Club.

Surviving are her husband, one daugher, Mrs. Patricia TURNER of Indianola and a granddaughter, her mother, Mrs. Letitia HAY of Fairfield and one brother, Glen HAY of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her father.

The Fairfield Library will be closed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in honor of the memory of Mrs. Pavey.
