A. TURNER Dies At 88

Mrs. Alta M. TURNER, 88, longtime resident of Fairfield, died Saturday at 11:05 p.m. at the Park View Care Center where she had made her home since 1970.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. John Dilley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 9 o'clock.

Alta Mabel TURNER was born March 13, 1886 in Norton, Kan., the daughter of William and Esther HESTON. She moved to this area when she was a young child. She was married June 17, 1903 to William M. TURNER. He preceded her in death Aug. 1, 1962.

Mrs. Turner is survived by the following children: Glenn E. TURNER, Denver, Colo.; Paul M. TURNER, Hannibal, Mo.; James W. TURNER and Mrs. Robert H. NELSON, Fairfield. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

One son, two brothers and two sisters are deceased. She was a member of the First United Prebyterian Church.
