MRS. ELIZABETH SWAIN

The death of Mrs. Elizabeth SWAIN, formerly of this city, occurred recently at her home in Davenport. She will be remembered by many, the family residing at Fourth and Grimes street.

The death of Mrs. Elizabeth M. SWAIN, 209 East Tenth street occurred after a lingering illness of the past two years. She had resided in Davenposrt only a short time, going there from Fairfield, where the family resided for many years.

Miss Elizabeth STEWART was born in Mansfield, Ohio, March 18, 1841, and was married to Charles H. SWAIN, January 31, 1866, at Rictortown, Va. Her husband preceded her in death in 1873. One son, William S. SWAIN, of Davenport, three daughters, Mrs. C. W. BENN of Packwood, Ia., Miss Margaret C. SWAIN and Miss Mabel C. SWAIN, both of Davenport, and five grandchildren.

She was a lifelong member of the Baptist church.
