Margaret C. MIKSCH

Margaret C. MIKSCH, 84, of Route 2, Hedrick and Good Samaritan Center of Ottumwa, died at 3:51 p.m. Monday, June 1, 1998, at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

Funeral service will be at 11 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Coon officiating. Burial will be in Packwood Cemetery. Visitation began at 10 a.m. today and the family will be present at the funeral home 6-7 p.m. today. A memorial has been established to the Good Samaritan Center Alzheimer's Unit.

Mrs. MIKSCH was born Sept. 14, 1913, in Fairfield, the son (sic: daughter) of Alfred P. and Iva T. COOPER RODENMAYER. She married Eugene "Gene" A. MIKSCH July 8, 1934, in Ottumwa.

She had been a resident of Fairfield before moving to Packwood in 1959 and lived in Packwood until 1995. She was a member of Prairie View United Methodist Church and had been an employee of Pekin Schools.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Larry of Littleton, Colo.; two daughters, Linda CRIMOS (sic - GRIMES) of Ottumwa and Sally CARR of Harrisonville, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a twin sister, Marjorie MESSER of Fairfield; two brothers, Harold RODENMAYER of Columbus, Ohio, and Glen "Bud" RODENMAYER of Medford, Ore.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a brother, Alfred RODENMAYER.

Obituary Correction --

Information received from the funeral home, in the obituary for Margaret MIKSCH, who died Monday, June 1, 1998, listed the name of one of her daughters incorrectly. Her daughter is Linda GRIMES of Ottumwa.
