LIBERTYVILLE - Warren C. MANNING, 61, resident of Libertyville, died at 2:45 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clair Odell, the Rev. Jerry Miller and the Rev. Robert Connor officiating.
Burial will be in the Batavia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Raymond Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Cancer Fund.
Warren C. MANNING was born Oct. 19, 1923, in Batavia. He was the son of Joseph and Ethel CAMPBELL MANNING. He lived his entire life in the Batavia and Libertyville communities.
His marriage to Mildred SMITH took place Oct. 11, 1945, at the Little Brown Church at Nashua.
Manning was a farmer and a painter for 40 years. He and his sons owned and operated W. Manning and Sons, painting and wallcovering contractors. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.
In addition to his widow, Manning is survived by two sons and their wives: Chris and Joni, Fairfield, and Jon and Becky, Libertyville.
Other survivors are four grandchildren; a brother, Melvin MANNING, West Des Moines; and a sister, Freda MANNING, Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by a son, one grandchild, one sister, one brother Paul, and his parents.
