E. Loran PALMER

E. Loran PALMER, 94, formerly of rural Batavia, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 1993, at Parkview Care Center.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Dave Albert officiating. Burial will be in Wellman Cemetery at Wellman. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.

PALMER was born June 23, 1898, in Anthon, the son of Jess and Hannah ALBIN PALMER. He married Norma GARDNER on Sept. 10, 1919. She died Nov. 2, 1977. He farmed all of his adult life in Locust Grove Township, Jefferson County, and a member of Batavia United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Patty TEDROW of Batavia; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons. Two infant sons, two sisters, Ethel and Stella, and three brothers, Ralph, Arthur and Alvin, preceded him in death.
