Mrs. Henry RABEL Taken In Death

Mrs. Henry RABEL, 81, resident of Jefferson county for over 39 years, passed away about 4 a.m. today at her farm home located about three miles southeast of Fairfield.

She had been in failing health the past several years and seriously ill the past month.

Last rites will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with Dr. J. Henry Teele in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.

Mrs. RABEL was born Jan. 3, 1877, in Anna, Ill., the daughter of the late John and Catherine MORGAN HILEMAN. She was united in marriage to Henry RABLE (sic. RABEL) on August 19, 1906, at Anna.

They moved from Danville, Ia., to Jefferson county in 1919 and she had made her home in this community since. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church at Pleasant Grove, Ia. (sic. this Pleasant Grove is in Des Moines county, Iowa).

Besides her husband she is survived by the following children: Mrs. Vernon LAWSON, Mrs. Jesse ROBERTS and Mrs. Robert HUDGEL, all of Fairfield; Mrs. Vernon DICE, Palo, Ia., and Mrs. Robert TURPIN, Cedar Rapids.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; one brother, George HILEMAN, East St. Louis, Mo. She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
