C. MINEART dies at 67

Charles V. MINEART, 67, 503 E. Buchanan, died at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson County Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. William Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Prayers for a Christian Wake will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Raymond Funeral Home followed by the Knights of Columbus Rosary.

Charles V. MINEART was born May 10, 1914, at Pleasant Plain. He was the son of Vincent and Nellie SUPALLA MINEART. He was reared and educated in the Pleasant Plain Community and graduated from Pleasant Plain High School.

His marriage to Ethel J. PECK took place Aug. 31, 1940, at St. Peter and Paul Church in Clear Creek. They spent most of their married life farming in the Brookville Community, moving to Fairfield in 1973.

MINEART was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Eagles Lodge, VFW, and the Keep Young Club.

He is survived by his widow and nine children: Richard and Dale, both of Fairfield; Marie BREESE, Iowa City; John, Ottumwa; Dolores JOHNSON, Vancouver, Wash.; David, Brighton; Donald and Kenneth, Rockford, Ill.; Patricia LEISTIKOW, Maple Grove, Minn.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille GODWIN, Iowa City and Marion HUMPSTON, Washington; two brothers, Joe, Pleasant Plain and Robert, Walnut Creek, Calif.
