Virgil MEEK Funeral Set

EAST PLEASANT PLAIN - Virgil Gilbert MEEK, 71, died suddenly Saturday afternoon, at his home in Davenport.

The funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Louis Leonhardt in charge. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Virgil MEEK was born in Eldon on Feb. 12, 1906, the son of Charles and Sadie ZINGG MEEK. He married Barbara SHELANGOSKI in November of 1941. She died in 1972.

Survivors include three sons: Larry, Donald and Michael, and a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Joan) KREBS, all of Davenport. There are three grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Leroy SHEETZ of Pleasant Plain, and a brother, James MEEK of Whittier, Calif.
