Brother, sister die

Alfreda (Mrs. Omar) HOSKINS, 100 E. Jefferson, has received word of the deaths of a brother and a sister in the past two weeks.

Her brother, Rueben V. BLOMGREN, 82, died Oct. 21 at the Pleasant Care Nursing Home in Pleasantville.

The son of August and Hattie PETERSON BLOMGREN, he was born Feb. 10, 1898 in Ottumwa. He was a retired employee of the Ottumwa School District.

The service was Oct. 25 at the Johnson Funeral Home in Ottumwa with burial and military rites by the American Legion at the Ottumwa Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife and a son, his sister, Mrs. HOSKINS and a brother, Sandford BLOMGREN, San Pedro, Calif.

Mrs. HOSKINS' sister, Lula A. LATHAM, Vallejo, Calif., died Nov. 8 at the home of her daughter, Doris (Mrs. Ray) INGRAM, Vallejo. the service is today at a funeral home in Vallejo.

The daughter of August and Hattie PETERSON BLOMGREN, she was born July 6, 1895 in Jefferson County.

Besides her daughter, her sister, Mrs. HOSKINS and her brother, Sanford BLOMGREN, San Pedro; she is survived by two grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband and an infant daughter.

Both Reuben BLOMGREN and Mrs. LATHAM were preceded in death by a brother.
